Let's talk data. Back in 2020, we started measuring our emissions (this is our “base year” - the starting point for our decarbonisation journey!). We're constantly refining our data to focus on what matters and where we can make the most impact.

Science-based targets? You bet. These goals are set by scientists to make sure businesses cut their carbon footprint in line with what's needed to fight climate change. Ann Summers proudly signed up to these targets, committing to reduce our emissions. No guessing games here - using scientific data and tools, it's like following the perfect size chart for decarbonisation - not too tight (impossible to achieve), not too loose (doing too little) - just right.

Decarbonisation? It's not just a buzzword for us; it's at the heart of everything we do. Our goal? Net zero for all UK operations by 2040. We're tackling emissions across our head office, stores, distribution centres, and logistics. Ambitious? Yes! But here's the thing - we've already made moves. Our entire head office and retail stores are powered by renewable energy.

We've slashed direct emissions from energy by 43% from our base year and removed emissions from indirect sources (like product purchases) by 41%. We're not stopping there - we've streamlined our transport, reducing travel emissions and making sure all fleet vehicles will be electric by 2030. Oh, and air freight tonnage? Reduced by 34%. That's 658 tonnes of carbon dioxide saved, think 282.75 million vibrator charges! (Based on average vibrator power consumption per charge =0.005 kwh with a charging time of 2 hrs)

When it comes to transparency, we're all ears. We partner with certified auditors SEDEX to ensure we have the visibility across our factories so that we can maintain the highest social and ethical standards. Our supplier code of conduct is very clear: no forced labour, no child labour, no modern slavery. We expect fair wages and safe working conditions - no discrimination, just respect.

We're making massive strides towards a responsible future and trust us; we're just getting started!

Our Products

Our goal? To make more of our products using recycled fibres and materials where possible.

Our Garments

We're seriously stepping up our game with responsible fibres, adding even more recycled options like satin, nylon, and polyester. And yes, many of our bestselling pieces (hello, sexy lace) now contain at least 50% recycled fibres. All of our garments are made to meet REACH and OEKO-TEX Standards, ensuring they're not

We're seriously stepping up our game with responsible fibres, adding even more recycled options like satin, nylon, and polyester. And yes, many of our bestselling pieces (hello, sexy lace) now contain at least 50% recycled fibres. All of our garments are made to meet REACH and OEKO-TEX Standards, ensuring they're not only gorgeous but safe and toxic-free. Oh, and our garment care labels? Made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester (think used plastic bottles and other waste). By using recycled materials, we've already saved a fabulous 149 tonnes of co₂. Want to picture it? That's the same as 24,320,010 litre bottles of cola.

Our Toys

We have reduced the volume of products in this section and are always on the hunt for low-carbon materials. We also follow the ROHS, EMC, and WEEE standards, and we've got you covered with our free in-store take-back scheme. Buy a toy from us, drop it in, and we'll recycle it for you. Easy, right?

Our Packaging

We've stripped back the excess and slipped into something more responsible. Recently we removed hangers from even more garments (don't worry - we kept the essentials), shrunk our packaging, and now only use recycled polystyrene hangers when absolutely necessary. That simple switch alone saved a steamy 815.69 tonnes of co₂ - that's like charging 99,222,690 smart phones. We've also said goodbye to plastic bra clips and upgraded our hosiery to FSC-certified boxes. Our perfume boxes now show up naked - no unnecessary plastic wrap. As for our UK-made distribution boxes? They're fully recyclable, totally biodegradable, and ready to deliver with purpose, but don't worry - your order still arrives in our signature style: discreet, for your eyes-only packaging made from 30% to 100% recycled content - and that number's only going up because when it comes to responsibility, we're not just flirting… we're going all the way.

Top tips for making your lingerie
and toys last longer

Wash Smart
Cold water, hot results. Keep it cool - use cold water instead of hot to save energy and protect those delicate fabrics.

Dry Naturally, Sizzle Later
Air dry, don't fry. Skip the tumble dryer - let your lingerie breathe and dry naturally.

Hand Wash, Don't Rush
Give it a gentle hand wash. It's like a private moment for your lingerie... minus the bubbles.

Shade, Not Sun
Keep it out of the sun. No one wants their favourite pieces looking faded.

Guppy Bag Magic
Use a guppy bag in the washing machine to reduce microplastic pollution.

Storing Like A Pro
Use fabric bags over plastic to keep lingerie fresh and breathable.

Eco-Friendly Detergents
Choose biodegradable detergents - protect your lingerie and the planet.

Keep It Fresh
Always clean before and after use. Use mild, fragrance-free soap or dedicated toy cleaner.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from heat and sunlight. Don't overcharge rechargeable toys.

Battery & Charging
Remove batteries when not in use. Stick to the manufacturer's charger - no third-party guesses.

Disposal
Recycle responsibly! Bring your old electronic toy to any of our stores for recycling when you buy a new one.
