Now, that’s the 64 million dollar question, isn’t it? How can we even begin to define it? But that’s the beauty of it. Real love means different things to different people. What we can safely say is that real love isn’t just about grandiose gestures or over the top declarations of love, it’s the little things that often go unnoticed, that really count.

At Ann Summers, we asked some of our colleagues what ‘real love’ means to them and here is what they said…

Feeling spoilt, Party Plan team

There’s nothing wrong with getting each other gifts on special occasions, like Valentine’s Day, for example. That’s the one time of year to show how much you really love each other. It’s all about creating unforgettable memories, and buying presents is a small part of that.

When you can’t imagine being with anyone
else, Finance team

In or outside the bedroom. When you see them, you feel safe and get that warm, fuzzy feeling in your heart. Being someone’s life partner also means being their friend. You feel comfortable simply just hanging out with them without the need to fill in any awkward silence. But better yet, you also have a strong passion for each other and it really shows…even during a disagreement.

HR team

Whether you make each other’s favourite packed lunches, get a kiss on the forehead or simply text each other frequently, these cute gestures are a token of appreciation and show you care.

Expressing your love, Creative team

Sometimes you just need to hear those three words, don’t you? We know that actions speak louder than words, but it never hurts to re-assure someone.

Having a laugh together, Buying team

It shouldn’t always be so serious. Sure, it’s a pretty scary thought spending the rest of your life with someone, but that doesn’t mean you have to take yourselves too seriously. So those humorous moments you share with that special someone creates some of the best memories to share with others.

Boosting each other’s confidence, Marketing team

No one’s perfect. Which is exactly why we all need someone who accepts every aspect of who we are. And when you find someone who does, that person is worth keeping. When someone makes you feel like you’re worth loving, it’s bound to bring out more confidence in you. Not that you really need it. So, if they make you want to dress up in lingerie and stockings and really show your passion for them, we say go for it!
